Victoria's Secret took its show back to Los Angeles on 18 October, filmed at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City (its first LA show in 19 years), and split the runway into seven chapters running through the seasons. Kylie Jenner got the Fantasy Bra and most of the headlines. Fine. Most of what walked was underwear with wings attached, which doesn't help you much on a Saturday night out.
Five looks had something you can lift straight off the runway and wear with clothes on, though. Here they are, with my verdict on each and the closest high-street versions underneath.

Five runway looks you can wear off the runway
Bella Hadid's sheer lime skirt
Bella opened the show for the first time (she'd walked five times before, never first) in beaded floral wings, a flower-covered bra and briefs, and a sheer lime chiffon skirt knotted at the hip. Ignore the wings. The skirt is the bit to steal. A short, see-through wrap in a green that loud is a beach cover-up in July, and over black opaque tights with a chunky knit it's a very good idea in November. Verdict: worth it if you commit to the colour. A wishy-washy sage won't land the same way.

How to wear the runway without the wings
Take the outer layer, leave the rest
Every one of these looks was built on lingerie. The skirt, the blouse and the coat are the parts that work in real life, so put normal clothes underneath and you're done.
Put tights under anything sheer
A sheer chiffon skirt or a floaty slip goes straight from summer into winter with black opaque tights and a boot. No need to wait for next July.
One metallic piece per outfit
A chainmail or sequin mini skirt wants a quiet top. Black knit, white tee, done. Add a second shiny thing and you look like a disco ball.
Not sure about lime or Barbie pink?
Then start with the white coat. It's the easiest buy of the five, and it goes over everything else on this list.
