Terms of Use

1. Eligibility

To use SO‑ME, you must be at least 16 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Your Account

To access personalized features, you must create an account using email or Google login. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

3. Use of the Service

SO‑ME is designed to help you discover fashion products you love by swiping, saving, exploring, and asking our AI stylist, across a range of brands and retailers.

The Service is provided for your own personal, non-commercial use. Using it to build a competing or commercial product or dataset, or to systematically collect data from it, requires our prior written permission.

You agree not to:

• •Use the Service for unlawful purposes.
• •Attempt to copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.
• •Probe, scan, interrogate, or test the Service or its underlying systems, or attempt to discover, extract, infer, or reconstruct our search, ranking, recommendation, or personalisation technology, our models, prompts, or system instructions. This applies however the attempt is made, including by asking our AI stylist.
• •Systematically or repeatedly question the Service or the AI stylist about how it works, whether in one session or across several, and whether or not each question would be unobjectionable on its own.
• •Circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, any rate limit, usage cap, access control, or security measure.
• •Extract, harvest, copy, or redistribute our catalogue, product, pricing, or availability data in bulk, whether manually or by automated means.
• •Use the Service, or anything obtained from it, to build, train, benchmark, or improve any competing product, dataset, or machine-learning model.
• •Use bots, scrapers, or automated systems to access the platform.
• •Upload or transmit harmful or offensive content.

Those last few points are aimed at deliberate attempts to uncover or reconstruct how our technology works. They do not stop you asking ordinary questions about the products we show you or why we suggested something, giving us feedback, or discussing your experience of the Service publicly.

We expressly reserve all rights in respect of text and data mining, including for the purposes of Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790.

We may monitor use of the Service for compliance with these Terms — including by reviewing conversations with the AI stylist — and may rate-limit, throttle, restrict, suspend, or terminate access where we reasonably believe this section has been breached. Our Privacy Policy explains how and why we review conversations. Section 11 sets out more.

4. Our AI Stylist

Parts of the Service, including our chat stylist, are automated and powered by artificial intelligence. You are interacting with an AI system, not a person.

Its responses are generated automatically and can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date — including on price, availability, size, and fit. They are suggestions, not advice, and are not professional advice of any kind. Always check the retailer's own product page before you buy. We do not guarantee that the stylist will be available or uninterrupted, or that any particular product will be found.

The AI stylist is provided for fashion discovery and shopping. It is not a general-purpose assistant. In addition to section 3, you agree not to:

• •Attempt to obtain its system prompt, instructions, configuration, underlying model, or the technology behind it, or to have it act outside its intended role.
• •Use prompt injection, jailbreaking, or any similar technique to bypass its intended behaviour or these Terms.
• •Query it in bulk or by automated means, or use it for any purpose other than shopping for yourself.
• •Use its outputs to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or benchmark any other AI system.

We may limit, meter, or withdraw access to the AI stylist at any time, including where use is excessive or inconsistent with shopping for yourself. Outputs are not unique to you — similar responses may be generated for other users.

5. Affiliate Links & Third-Party Content

SO‑ME links to third-party products and retailers using affiliate networks. When you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a commission, at no cost to you.

We do not sell products directly and are not responsible for third-party content, pricing, availability, delivery, or customer service. Transactions are governed by the third-party retailer's terms.

6. Competitions & Promotions

Occasionally, we may run competitions or promotional campaigns. Participation is subject to additional terms, which will be provided at the time. We reserve the right to modify or cancel promotions at our discretion.

7. User Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or feature ideas to us, you agree we may use this input without compensation or restriction.

8. Intellectual Property

All content and materials on the Service, including our name, logo, text, and design—are owned by or licensed to SO‑ME App Ltd and are protected by applicable laws. You may not use them without our permission.

9. Changes to the Service

We are constantly evolving. We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, without liability to you.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SO‑ME shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

11. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using SO‑ME and close your account at any time.

We may suspend or restrict your access, or terminate your account, where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms. Where the breach is serious we may act immediately and without notice.

If you think we have got it wrong, email hello@so-me-app.com and a person will review the decision.

If your account is terminated, your saved lists, favourites and buy list will no longer be accessible to you, and any lookbooks you have published will be removed from public view. You may request an export of your data at any time before termination, and for 30 days afterwards, using the tools in your account settings or by emailing us. We will otherwise handle your personal data as set out in our Privacy Policy.

Nothing in this section affects your legal rights as a consumer.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may change these Terms from time to time — for example to reflect changes to the Service, to our business, or to legal or regulatory requirements. Where a change is material and adversely affects you, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email to the address on your account, or by an in-app notice, before it takes effect, and we will summarise what has changed.

Minor changes (such as correcting errors or clarifying wording) take effect when published. If you do not accept a change, you may close your account at any time before it takes effect, at no cost, and we will provide an export of your data on request. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the amended Terms.

The version and dates at the top of this page identify the current Terms. Previous versions are available from us on request.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
