Candice Swanepoel spent years on the Victoria's Secret runway in wings, so you might expect her days off to look like a lot of work. Mostly they're a coat, a pair of jeans or a black dress, with one strange proportion or one good bag doing the rest.
The clearest off-duty photos of her date from 2013 to 2019, so every look here carries its date, and I've said where one has aged badly. The rails hold near matches across brands, because nobody needs the 2013 originals.
The colours she keeps coming back to
Mostly black and brown, with pale denim or white to lift them.

The toffee teddy coat
Leaving the Ralph Lauren show at New York Fashion Week, she wore a long toffee teddy coat over a brown roll neck, with white trousers and dark brown ankle boots. The cowboy hat stayed in her hand with a pale bag. White trousers on a Manhattan pavement in February are a terrible idea, and they're also what stops all that brown turning into a bear costume.

What Candice Swanepoel says she buys now
The newest evidence is an interview rather than a photo. She told The Zoe Report in July 2026 that her daily uniform is a T-shirt and jeans or a comfortable dress. Her picks included Saint Laurent mid-rise bootcut jeans at $1,190, which she described as "the ultimate balance between skinny and baggy", plus a black Saint Laurent belt with a gold buckle and Miu Miu Mary Janes. The shapes are all easy to find for far less, and if you're moving on from the skinnies above, bootcut is where she has landed.
What the six outfits have in common
Her black ankle boots turn up in three of the six looks, and leather bikers in two. She wears plain things in good shapes and lets one of them be slightly wrong for the weather or the time of day.
How to borrow her off-duty style
Wear something a bit impractical
White trousers in February, velvet at lunchtime. Pick one and keep everything around it plain.
Let the bag be the colour
If the outfit is black and faded denim, burgundy or toffee can carry it. You don't need a second accent.
Soften leather with a T-shirt
A pale pink or white tee under a biker makes it look less like a costume, and the high street sells them for very little.
Change the jeans first
Most of these outfits still work. If one feels dated, it's usually the shorts over tights or the skinny leg, so swap that and keep the rest.
