Halloween is coming quick, and this year's costume list is mostly telly. Spirit Halloween's 2026 trend report puts Off Campus at the top, with KPop Demon Hunters and Greek gods close behind. Almost none of it needs a costume shop. Every look below is built from real clothes, so you're not binning £50 of polyester on 1 November. Give yourself time for delivery and a try-on, which means ordering by the weekend of the 24th.

Off Campus costumes: Allie's green dress and Hannah's bunny
Off Campus is Prime Video's adaptation of Elle Kennedy's hockey romance books, out since May. In episode two, Dean and Beau's joint birthday is a costume party, and two looks from that night have more or less become this year's Halloween.
Allie's J.Lo jungle dress
Mika Abdalla's Allie turns up in a replica of the green Versace dress Jennifer Lopez wore to the 2000 Grammys: sheer, long-sleeved, cut down to the waist and held together with a brooch. The show built it from scratch over five fittings, and J.Lo herself reposted the clip. You don't need a custom build. A long-sleeved green print maxi gets you most of the way, then pin a big brooch where the neckline closes and give your hair some volume. Of everything here, this is the one you'll wear again soonest.

KPop Demon Hunters costumes: Rumi and Mira
Netflix's animated film came out in June 2025 and it still hasn't gone away. It works as a costume because Huntr/x dress like a real girl group: streetwear, loud colour, one statement piece each. Add Zoey (tropical-print bomber, fluffy yellow bucket hat) and you've got the whole band.
Greek god costumes: a white draped dress and gold
Greek gods and warriors are on Spirit's 2026 list too, and they're the easiest costume to do without a bag-in-a-box toga. A white one-shoulder or draped maxi is already most of the costume. How to make real clothes read as a costume
Pick the detail people recognise
Allie's brooch, Rumi's purple braid, Effie's rose. Get that one thing right and the rest of the outfit can be close enough.
Commit to the hair
Most of these characters are recognised by their hair before their clothes. Without the ponytails, Mira is just a girl in a yellow skirt.
Spend on the piece you will wear again
The green maxi, the corset top and the pink blazer all have a life after October. Bunny ears don't, so buy those cheap.
Go as a group
Huntr/x is three people, Hannah needs a Garrett, and a room full of gods beats one lonely Zeus. A group costume forgives a lot of near-misses.
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so expect the parties to start on Friday. Prices and stock move quickly in October, so if a piece here is the one, don't leave it until the 29th.
