Bella Hadid gets photographed between the car and the restaurant door more often than most people get photographed at their own wedding, and she dresses for those ten metres of pavement as if they were the point of the evening. Her 2026 run has had a pattern to it. Most outfits have one piece that looks like it came out of a good vintage shop, worn with jeans or black trousers that reach the floor, and small tinted sunglasses that stay on after dark.
Below are four of those photos, from January in Aspen to September in Tribeca. None of them is from a runway. For each one I've written up what she's wearing, and the rails underneath are the closest high-street versions across brands.

Four Bella Hadid off-duty looks from 2026, and how to copy them

A fur coat over black leather flares
On her way to dinner at Matsuhisa in early January she wore a long caramel fur coat (W Magazine identified it as Valentino) over a black top that drapes at the neck and stops well above the waist. Underneath that are low-slung black leather flares with a studded western belt sitting right on the hip bones, and black boots you can only just see under the hem. A leopard-print Fendi bag is tucked under one arm, she's in black leather gloves, and the sunglasses are on even though it's dark. There's plenty of texture and almost no colour, so the fur gets all the attention. A faux fur coat and leather-look flares will get you most of the way. The cropped top is optional; a black bodysuit gives the same line with less wind.

The accessories she repeats
Put the four photos next to each other and the sunglasses give it away. Every look has small lenses tinted orange, amber or brown, and she wears them at night as readily as in daylight. Three of the four have pointed shoes. When there's a print, it's on the bag or the headscarf, and the clothes stay plain.
How to copy Bella Hadid's off-duty style
Start with one piece that looks secondhand
Her fur coat and lace blouse both qualify. Build the rest from basics. A charity shop is the best place to find this piece, and nobody else at the bar will have it.
Buy the long leg
Her jeans and leather flares all reach the floor and nearly cover her shoes. If you are between leg lengths, go longer and wear a heel.
Get your colour from your sunglasses
Orange or brown lenses put a warm colour near your face without you committing to it in clothes. They suit denim and black, which is most of what she wears.
Choose pointed toes
Wear them with jeans too. A pointed shoe under a long hem makes a casual outfit look like it was planned for dinner.
None of this needs her stylist or her budget. Find the one piece you love that feels a bit old, wear it with the plainest jeans you own, and see what a pair of tinted sunglasses does to the whole thing. Prices and sizes on these rails change daily, so if something's right, don't leave it too long.
