With regular wear, 6-12 months before elastic and support deteriorate. Signs: stretched band (using the tightest hooks), slipping straps, visible fabric wear. Rotating between several bras extends each one's life. Preloved bras aren't common, but new options across every price point are well covered here.

For many, non-wired or bralette styles are the most comfortable, particularly for smaller to medium busts. For larger busts, a well-fitted underwired bra actually distributes weight more comfortably. T-shirt bras with moulded cups are a solid middle ground, supportive yet smooth.
