Evening Scarves

The European loop (fold in half, drape around neck, pull ends through the loop) is the simplest and most versatile. For Parisian chic, tie a silk scarf in a small knot at the front of your neck. Use one as a hair accessory tied around a ponytail. Or just drape over shoulders, sometimes the simplest approach is the most elegant.

Cashmere offers incredible warmth-to-weight ratio. Merino wool is a close second and more affordable. Alpaca is hypoallergenic and extremely warm. Wool-silk blend provides warmth without bulk. Avoid purely synthetic scarves for warmth, natural fibres insulate far more effectively. Our preloved section is excellent for cashmere scarves.

Use a silk scarf as a headband, tie it to your bag handle, wear it as a bandeau top, belt it at the waist over a dress. A large wool scarf serves as a shawl for evening events. The versatility of a quality scarf makes it one of the most hard-working accessories you'll own.
